Trusted bath repair in Sale

Bath repair in Sale without replacing anything

Most baths can be used again the next day. We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. Our technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are chips from dropped bottles, tiles or tools and rust spots where the enamel has gone.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust sets in.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Do you need bath repair in Sale?

Most bath damage comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust once water gets in. Acrylic baths, on the other hand, crack when they flex, often around the taps or the plughole.

People usually call us after spotting something like this:

  • Scratches and burns
  • Damage caused while the bathroom was being fitted
  • Cracks and holes in acrylic baths
  • Rust spots where the enamel has gone

Repair or replace in Sale?

Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What happens on the day

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
