Bath re-enamelling and resurfacing at your home, anywhere in the UK

Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing without replacing anything

When the whole surface of a bath is worn, re-enamelling gives it a new glossy finish. The bath stays where it is, so your taps, tiles, panels and plumbing are left alone. It’s often the most practical choice for heavy cast iron baths, period roll-tops and baths that would mean re-tiling to replace.

We travel to you anywhere in the UK, and every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Send us a photo for a free, no-obligation quote.

How it works

  1. We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
  5. The bath is left to cure, and can usually be used again the next day.

One-day or two-day finish

Most baths are done in one visit. If the enamel is deeply pitted or etched, a second day of extra filling and sanding gives a smoother finish. We’ll tell you which suits your bath when we quote.

Looking after a resurfaced bath

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners and don’t use a suction bath mat, as the suckers can pull at the new finish. Read our care guide.

Bath re-enamelling and resurfacing: common questions

Do you need to take the bath out?

No. We resurface the bath where it is, so the taps, tiles and plumbing stay in place.

How long does re-enamelling take?

Usually one working day, with the bath ready to use the following day. Heavily pitted baths may need a second day.

Will there be a smell?

Yes, there is a strong smell while we spray, so we ventilate the room and use extraction. It fades once the finish has cured.

Can you re-enamel a bath that was done before?

Usually, yes. If an earlier coating is peeling, we strip back the loose material first, which can add time. We’ll check this when we quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids the cost and disruption of removal, plumbing and making good. If replacement would be better, we’ll tell you.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Quotes are free and fixed, based on your photos.
